Congratulations to Vinegar Tips, who are the winners of our first #BoxPics competition. A £75 voucher to spend online at WoodenBox UK or Chalkboards UK is on its way to you now.

We've had a fantastic response to our first ever WoodenBox UK photo competition - #BoxPics, with 40 new pics from 21 of our customers being sent in.

You can see all of February's entries on our social media channels - Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest - and there's a small selection below.

Keep sending in the photos - they'll automatically be entered into the next #BoxPics competition (possibly May). And  keep watching this space - there's more competitions to come from WoodenBox UK!

Bunches, first established in 1989, is one of the UK’s leading online retailers of fresh flowers, plants and other gifts. They utilise a supply base from different countries and approached WoodenBox UK in late 2014 to see if we could provide a competitively-priced alternative to their existing plastic-lined wooden crate used for various gifts in the range.

After a couple of samples, the crate itself was very simple to provide but providing a plastic lining was something that we had never previously experienced. Using our own extensive supply network, we were able to find an appropriate lining and our team of experienced  assemblers were able to learn a new skill in gluing the liners into position.

Eighteen months on and we have now supplied well over 10,000 of these units in more than one colour.

Bunches experience a number of high seasonal peaks in demand and WoodenBox UK has been able to work with them to ensure a safe and reliable source of supply.

This is truly a ‘growing’ business!

WoodenBox UK was recently asked by online retailer Clever Gretel, to produce a bespoke printed version of its three bottle sliding lid box to house their new idea for advent calendars - Kalender Haus.

It's a great idea that gives the family something creative to do together in the build up to Christmas. You make your gingerbread house from the kit supplied and then add a decoration every day throughout advent.

The outside of the box needed to look festive and has been printed on all 4 sides and the lid with a winter scene, with the inner walls and dividers printed with a festive pattern.

After samples were made and approved, we went into full production and the finished product is now available to buy on the Clever Gretel website - www.clevergretel.co.uk

At WoodenBox UK, we're always happy to develop bespoke products for clients, never more so than when BrewDog approached us to design a premium hardwood box with a sliding lid.

The box was needed to promote the launch of a new craft beer - Death of Glory. BrewDog wanted the individual bottles to fit snuggly into the box, which had to have a heat-branded logo applied to the lid.

After samples were made and approved, an initial order was received and completed in just two weeks, arriving in good time for the first despatches of the new beer.

Our work with BrewDog hasn't stopped there. They wanted a bespoke table top chalkboard for their 'Punk IPA' craft beer.

Our sister company, Chalkboards UK, was able to design a shaped chalkboard, printed in one colour on both sides and mounted into a printed hardwood base. BrewDog's Marketing Department and Bar Managers were so happy with the first order, a second batch for the same quantity was soon on its way to Scotland!

These two bespoke products have allowed us to build up a great working relationship with BrewDog, for whom we are now working on another project for larger shaped chalkboards to go in their bottle shops.
